Polymer Diffusion Modeling & Hybrid Particle Morphology

Diffusion of monomer, oligomer, and polymer chains as a function of their chain structure, and as a function of the environment they are diffusing within, has been a central focus of our group from the beginning. Diffusion is the key driving/constraining parameter on hybrid particle morphology development, as we are almost never running under conditions where the thermodynamic equilibrium structure can be obtained (under reasonable timeframe). This leaves us focusing on kinetically trapped morphologies which are controlled predominantly by diffusion.
